shadows
Photograph by Mario Sorrenti, featured in French Vogue, April 2013. I love the striking shadows against the softness of the colour across the face. It reminds me of the colourings of a tropical fish or the ripples of water.

A patchwork of colour
The start of a new project I am working on. Recycling old fabrics and making a colourful masterpiece! What it will be, I am unsure so far? I will let the process determine the outcome...

A nice reminder
Having left the Netherlands less than a month ago, and located back in Scotland for the time being, I was reminded of the spectacular display of tulips I saw at Keukenhof this Spring after developing a camera film. The photos below were taken using a film SLR and these are the results. Despite the errors that can arise using film I love the unpredictably of the process, never knowing how a photo will appear once developed. I find the results much more natural and the quality of the colour softer and richer.
A selection of some of the photographs I took.

ECA Degree Show 2013
This week I visited the Edinburgh College of Art Degree Show, showcasing the selection of work from recent graduates. As always, the standard of work from the Jewellery and Silversmithing Department was tremendous. Below are a selection of students' work that really caught my eye.

A trip to Berlin
A collection of photographs taken on my recent visit to the German capital. So many interesting sights to see around the city including the people themselves. It's a city that feels very much alive and kicking with an abundance of character and history. I felt inspired by the general vibe that seemed to surround the various neighbourhoods, each being different from the next. A very cool place!
